Sometimes the midlife might feel a little bit like fire fighting.  Physical symptoms of hot flushes, or hormonal changes associated with the perimenopause and menopause.

The heat of juggling so many roles: work, relationships, self care.  The simmering sense of overwhelm, loneliness, disconnect. You are a capable and strong woman - you bolster your arsenal with HRT, a change in diet or exercise, a multivitamin, self help, a glass of wine.  It helps, a bit, the flames dampen, but never quite go out before another fire sparks.     That said, there’s some overlap—coaching often supports your emotional well-being as you work towards change. But coaching isn’t a substitute for therapy or counselling, and if you’re dealing with significant emotional or mental health challenges, I’d always recommend speaking to a qualified therapist or counsellor.

  • Each session begins with mindfulness and breathwork to help you settle into the space and become present. We’ll check in, and then I’ll ask what you’d like to focus on for the session. Don’t worry if you’re not sure—I’ll guide you. From there, I’ll give you the space to take center stage.

    I’ll listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect back what I’m hearing—sometimes noticing nuances or patterns that might help you see things differently. This is your time to talk, think, and explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

    These sessions are designed to be a rare and precious space in your life, where you’re truly heard and supported as you navigate your goals and challenges.

  • Don’t worry at all! You don’t need any prior experience—I’ll guide you every step of the way. If mindfulness or breathwork feels unfamiliar, I’ll meet you where you are and gently introduce you to these practices.

    The truth is, you already know how to breathe and think, so you’re more prepared than you might realize. Mindfulness is just about learning to use these natural abilities in a way that helps you feel more grounded, present, and connected.

  • No, I won’t be offering medical advice as part of my coaching. While I’m a GP with extensive medical experience, coaching is a separate process. If any medical concerns arise, I’ll encourage you to consult your own GP, who is best placed to support your healthcare needs.

  • My experience as a GP, especially in women’s health, gives me deep insight into the challenges and transitions women face in midlife. This allows me to approach our coaching sessions with authentic compassion and a perspective of complete non-judgment.
